GCE 10L Oxygen Concentrator

Your prescription decides it. Most home oxygen therapy sits at or under 5 litres per minute, and a standard home concentrator covers that. A 10 LPM oxygen concentrator is for prescriptions above that ceiling, for clinical and aged care settings, and for running two patients from one machine through a flow splitter. It is a live reading of the oxygen concentration coming out of the machine, shown as a three colour bar so you do not have to interpret a number. Green means the unit is producing oxygen at the concentration it should be. If it drops out of the normal band the low concentration alarm sounds as well. GCE rate the OC-E100 at 87 to 96% oxygen across its flow range.

Yes. A stationary concentrator is built for continuous duty, unlike a portable running on batteries. It draws air, separates out the nitrogen and delivers oxygen for as long as it has power. Keep the vents clear and the filters clean and there is no time limit to worry about.

More than a 5 litre machine, because it is doing twice the work. GCE rate average consumption at 650W on Australian mains, so around 0.65 kilowatts while it runs. GCE rate it under 50 dBA, which is about the level of a quiet office and unusual for a 10 litre unit. Continuous flow. It delivers a steady, set rate of oxygen whether you are breathing in or out, which is what high flow prescriptions and overnight use require. Pulse dose devices only release oxygen when they sense a breath. If you need something portable as well, the Eclipse 5 and the Zen-O run both modes, though neither reaches 10 litres per minute.

Very little. The air intake filter is washable and reusable, so it rinses out in warm soapy water, dries completely and goes back in. The paper filter is a replacement item, and GCE only ask for it once every 12 months.
